who is bzzy girl?

My name is Beatrice, but most people call me BZ. I am a senior at Georgetown University majoring in Psychology and minoring in Journalism. When I’m not in class, I work full-time as an account manager, administrative coordinator, social media manager, and design assistant for a small interior design firm in Houston, Texas (my hometown). I am passionate about design, fashion, journalism, and empowering women and young people.

I hate talking about myself, but I do love ice breakers; so, please see my bountiful list of fun facts below.

  • In first grade, I decided to drop all the vowels in my childhood nickname, “Beazie,” to read “BZ”. Today, I am an adult with a two-letter name.
  • Although my true love is design, I am a nerd for math. Numbers hold a lot of power and are absolutely fascinating to me.
  • One of my many special talents is inventing and sketching animal hybrids like porcudillos and girelephants.
  • I love grammar. If I could spend all day editing papers and correcting grammatical errors, I would.
  • I am a board game and puzzle fanatic. I love anything related to problem solving and critical thinking. If I have a free night, I spend it at an escape room.
  • I started my first company at the age of 6 by selling plastic food at my pretend restaurant. I have since become the CEO of several short-term businesses, including rock-painting, flip-flop-making, cake baking, and more. Not all of them were a slam dunk.
  • I am an INFP on the Myers Brigg’s Test, which is the same personality type as Princess Diana, Mr. Rogers, and William Shakespeare.
  • I am a member of a group called “Jigsaw Puzzle Enthusiasts” where we post puzzling tips and tricks, and pictures of our recently completed jigsaw puzzles.
  • I sometimes make up my own words when I can’t think of the perfect one. My most recent creation was “quip”: when you poke something/someone with only your pinky finger.
  • I follow foreign reality TV shows the way political science majors follow the news.
  • I’m not religious, but sometimes I pray to Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
